We went off to Werribee Zoo to celebrate New Years Day. A bus tour around the zoo is included in the admission and is well worth it. You drive through the animals in there natural surrounds - giraffes, hippos, rhinos and a whole heap of other animals. A nice relaxed version of a zoo and really enjoyable.
